Job summary

Deloitte Insights is seeking a Senior Editor to lead economics and financial services content strategy and editorial direction across reports, articles, infographics, and multimedia projects. You will work with economists, researchers, designers, and production specialists to develop compelling, credible insights for Deloitte clients and stakeholders.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years in editing, a Bachelor's degree in English or related field, and deep expertise in economics/finance

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of writing, editing, and copyediting experience in American English (business journalism preferred).
Bachelor's degree (preferably in English, literature, journalism, communications, or similar).
Deep experience editing economics and finance articles and research reports.
Exceptional editing/copyediting skills and mastery of US English grammar and AP style.

Responsibilities

Leverage subject matter expertise to strategize, develop, and execute economics/finance stories across formats.
Ensure rigor and credibility by questioning data sources, methodology, and conclusions.
Evaluate insights projects for novelty and audience alignment in the AI era.
Lead storytelling strategy, advising on content types and multimedia formats.
Guide authors and editors, providing developmental edits or polish as needed.
Mentor junior editors and review their work.
Coordinate with design, research, production, and marketing teams to meet timelines.
