Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in writing, editing, and copyediting content in American English (business journalism experience preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably English, literature, journalism, communications, or similar).
  • Deep experience editing energy, sustainability, and decarbonization articles and research reports.
  • Mastery of US English grammar, AP style, and ability to explain edits to authors.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills; ability to translate complex concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead editorial strategy for energy and sustainability topics across reports, articles, and multimedia.
  • Coordinate with researchers, writers, designers, and Deloitte leadership to plan and execute insights projects.
  • Ensure accuracy, credibility, and clarity of published materials; apply rigorous review of data sources and methodology.
  • Guide junior editors; manage multiple projects with tight timelines; mentor and train staff.
