Job summary

RMI, a leading climate and energy think tank, is seeking a Senior Editor for the Strategic Communications Team. Remote in the U.S., you will partner with program experts and organizational leaders to shape narratives and produce impactful content.

You will edit reports, newsletters, op-eds, and long-form features; translate complex analysis into accessible stories; and mentor colleagues while upholding high editorial standards across formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, public affairs, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and edit high-impact content across reports, articles, newsletters, and op-eds.
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts to simplify technical analysis for broad audiences.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, accessibility, and editorial quality across formats.
• Shape narrative approaches and editorial strategies for major programs and campaigns.
• Mentor colleagues in writing, storytelling, and editorial processes.
