Job summary

Stormont Vail Health seeks an Electronic Data Interchange Architect 3 to design and manage EDI interfaces across clinical and financial systems in Topeka. You will develop, test, and deploy data interfaces, collaborate with IS and vendor teams, and ensure system reliability and regulatory compliance.

You will leverage HL7 knowledge, Rhapsody/Orion Rhapsody interfaces, and scripting skills to optimize data exchange and system health while supporting Epic environments and ongoing upgrades.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT or related field may substitute for certifications.
• Experience with HL7 data exchange and EDI interfaces.
• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, FTP) and multi‑tier systems.
• Familiarity with scripting languages and vendor interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EDI solutions to enable automated electronic business.
• Test changes in a controlled environment and coordinate live deployment.
• Create documentation for applications, testing, downtime procedures, and recovery.
• Collaborate with IS staff and vendors on installation, updates, and upgrades.
• Monitor EDI health and drive rapid resolution of issues.
• Design data interfaces supporting clinical, financial and business ops.
• Provide 24x7 support for critical interfaces and ensure regulatory compliance.
