Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Sr. Software Development Engineer to build and scale edge ML compute, equipment monitoring, and computer vision across our fulfillment network.

You will work across embedded Linux to cloud platforms, collaborating with hardware, operations, and applied science teams. As a lead, you will mentor engineers, design reliable edge solutions, and ensure observability and device management across hundreds of sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop edge-based ML inference pipelines across Amazon's warehouse network.
• Build and maintain edge services managing camera fleets at scale.
• Architect solutions that operate reliably with intermittent or limited cloud connectivity.
• Develop cloud platforms for fleet-wide observability, telemetry, and remote device management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — hardware, operations, applied science — to ship new capabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and help shape the team's engineering culture.
