Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to shape mission-critical compute and communications at the tactical edge. You will drive end-to-end ownership across hardware, software, and manufacturing, transforming components into cohesive systems for defense programs.

Ideal candidates bring 8–10 years in systems engineering, DoD communications knowledge, and proven leadership of cross-functional teams, with a bias for first-principles problem solving and clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 8–10 years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience delivering complex technical systems across defense sectors.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on aggressive schedules.
• Knowledge of DoD communications links and pathways.
• IPT lead or SME experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and practical, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional integration between hardware, software, manufacturing and programmatic teams.
• Translate user needs into technical solutions that exceed legacy systems.
• Reimagine system requirements with first-principles thinking.
• Create system architecture diagrams across mechanical, electrical and software interfaces.
• Document architectures using Flow, Jama, MBSE and Digital Twins.
• Lead design reviews from requirements through verification and validation.
• Own verification and validation plans and execution.
• Travel to field to teach users and collect feedback.
• Own technical risk management to meet military standards without sacrificing innovation.
