Job summary

Auror is expanding its ASR software engineering team to advance edge AI capabilities across thousands of retail environments. You’ll own and evolve the edge processing estate, improve observability, and help scale detection and recognition features while coordinating with product and SOC teams.

This role emphasizes strong systems engineering across edge devices and cloud platforms. We’re seeking a senior engineer with deep experience in .NET/C#, cloud services, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across software, systems or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience owning production systems that run on devices or external infrastructure.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals spanning edge devices and cloud services.
• Ability to collaborate across product, engineering and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build subject recognition capabilities across edge devices, in-store servers, and Auror Cloud.
• Create and maintain evaluation tooling to measure model versions and thresholds with evidence.
• Implement observability: tracing, logging, metrics and alerts for remote environments.
• Improve reliability and resilience of the edge estate and debug complex production issues.
• Integrate third-party SDKs and hardware, coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for artefacts deployed to devices at scale.
• Work in .NET/C# while bringing systems expertise across languages and platforms.
