Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Senior Software R&D Engineer to invent next-generation detailed physical-design algorithms, focusing on ECO routing and physical optimization. You will own problems end-to-end from invention to production deployment.

Qualifications

• MS, PhD or equivalent experience with 5 years of relevant work.
• Strong expertise in C, high-performance software architecture and algorithms.
• Deep understanding of detailed routing, DRC-aware implementation, and ECOs.
• Knowledge of clock distribution, DFT, and power delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop incremental physical-design technology for rapid high-performance ECOs.
• Invent improved detailed-routing algorithms under DRC constraints.
• Craft cross-domain optimization tools covering logic, timing, clocks, and routing.
• Own problems end-to-end from invention to validation and deployment.
