Job summary

Qorvo, Inc. seeks a Senior EDA Applications Engineer with hands-on GaN/GaAs RF PA design to define, deploy and support next-gen 5G NR/6G PA and RF FEM development. This hybrid role blends senior PA design with EDA methodology ownership, spanning Cadence, HFSS, ADS, and related tools to connect design with manufacturing.

Strong RF fundamentals, extensive tool experience, and the ability to translate hands-on design into scalable flows, training, and documentation for design teams are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in GaN/GaAs RF PA design.
• Proven track record of designing PAs/FEMs using GaN/GaAs technologies for high-frequency applications.
• Strong RF fundamentals including S-parameters, impedance matching, stability, and linearity.

Responsibilities

• Direct hands-on design and validation of high-efficiency GaN/GaAs PAs and RF FEMs for 5G NR/6G.
• Lead or support integration of PA dies into multi-chip modules and optimize flows for size, cost, and thermal performance.
• Provide day-to-day EDA applications support for RF/analog/digital teams using Cadence, HFSS, ADS, and other tools.
• Develop, qualify, and deploy RF/PA design flows linking circuit-level and 3D EM simulations.
• Deliver training and mentoring to raise designer proficiency and document methodologies.
