Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the ECU sustaining engineering and operations across Zonal, Battery, Infotainment and Connectivity ECUs.

You will own field return, RMA disposition, failure analysis and supplier coordination with contract manufacturers to keep programs on schedule and build-ready.

This role requires strong program management, technical depth in electronics hardware, and the ability to lead multi‑team, multi‑supplier initiatives.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in electronics hardware sustaining or technical program management.
• Experience with field return, RMA, and failure analysis.
• Leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and vendors.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and IATF 16949 change control practices.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead ECU sustaining engineering and operations across Zonal, Battery, Infotainment, Connectivity, and vehicle access ECUs.
• Define and manage statements of work with contract manufacturers and suppliers; ensure quality and schedule.
• Drive capacity planning, ramp readiness, and mitigation of shortages with cross-functional teams.
• Own RMA and change-management systems; drive root cause to closure and executive escalation when needed.
• Establish and report sustaining KPIs and use them to drive continuous improvement and resourcing decisions.
