Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks an experienced engineer to join the Body Electronic Design Team of the Electronic Development Department. You will oversee E/E architecture, design an auxiliary PDC, and lead testing for NA programs.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field and 3+ years in body electronics design; strong CAN knowledge and report-writing skills are expected. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/automotive engineering or related field.
• 3+ years' body electronics design and validation experience.
• Experience with vehicle electronics components and CAN network.
• Ability to explain technical topics to varied audiences.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee advanced research of E/E architecture and power distribution systems.
• Lead local testing for NA environmental testing of low-voltage battery performance.
• Design and develop an auxiliary power distribution controller for NA programs.
• Align ECU design timing with vehicle program milestones.
• Establish timing plans for component design and development.
• Ensure timely milestones and deliverables across projects.
• Track issues with root cause analysis and lessons learned.
• Lead meetings with R&D, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Support on-site NA manufacturing activities when applicable.
• Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
