Qualifications

• PhD in Economics or closely related field.
• Three or more years of postdoctoral position or equivalent research experience.
• Strong background in statistics methods and big data applications.
• Ability to apply economic theory to business problems and to communicate findings clearly.
• Strong research track record and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Amazon's Chief Economists and senior management on business problems across retail, cloud, and advertising.
• Develop econometric models and apply economic theory to forecast and evaluate programs.
• Design and contribute to automated systems and data-driven decision processes.
