Job summary

Invest Atlanta, the City of Atlanta’s economic development agency, seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead, strategize and execute initiatives that attract and retain businesses in the city. The role involves high-level project management, stakeholder engagement, policy development and implementation of strategies that enhance Atlanta’s business ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible work experience in economic development or related fields.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and BI tools.
• Minimum working knowledge of a CRM system.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of business attraction strategies.
• Identify and assess key industries for attraction using data analysis.
• Establish high-level relationships with private companies, brokers, and partners.
• Oversee complex economic development projects with guidance to juniors.
• Conduct financial modeling and tax incentive analyses for projects.
• Facilitate high-profile public-private partnerships with leaders and officials.
• Navigate regulatory and incentive structures for companies and developers.
• Develop and track KPIs to evaluate initiatives and report to leadership.
• Plan participation in trade shows, missions and networking events.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
