Job summary

Econ One Research is seeking an Econometrician to support testifying experts in antitrust and damages matters. The role involves designing econometric models, handling real-world data, mentoring junior staff, and clearly communicating complex concepts to legal and client teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Economics with a focus in econometrics or IO and has hands-on SAS/Stata experience, along with strong writing and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Economics with a focus in microeconomics, applied microeconomics, IO, or econometrics
• Minimum three (3) years of experience supporting testifying experts in complex antitrust and related litigation matters
• Proficiency in econometric modeling and statistical analysis including advanced empirical techniques
• Hands-on experience in SAS and/or Stata
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills with the ability to communicate complex economic concepts clearly
• Proven leadership and project management abilities including mentoring junior staff
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality of work

Responsibilities

• Support testifying experts in complex antitrust and related litigation matters
• Design and implement econometric models and statistical analyses on real-world datasets
• Manage and review workstreams ensuring accuracy and quality of work product
• Mentor and guide junior staff on analytical approach and execution
• Conduct independent research and analysis with minimal supervision
• Clean and analyze data using SAS and/or Stata
• Produce clear written work product summarizing analyses and findings
• Communicate complex economic concepts clearly to attorneys, clients, and testifying experts
• Collaborate with case teams to manage project timelines and deliverables
