Job summary

Excelligence Learning Corporation is replatforming from SAP Commerce Cloud to a modern composable architecture. The Lead Developer/Technical Architect will guide technical direction, review partner work, and own the platform post-implementation.

You will design scalable storefronts, integrations, and data migrations while staying hands-on with code and architecture. This role requires influencing vendors, leading delivery, and ensuring reliability and performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and shipping production web applications.
• Hands-on ecommerce experience supporting a revenue-generating digital storefront in production.
• Experience with at least one enterprise or composable commerce platform such as VTEX, Kibo, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce Cloud, commercetools, Shopify Plus, or BigCommerce.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture across storefront, APIs, CMS, search, PIM, ERP, OMS, payments, tax, and related systems.
• Review architecture and deliverables with implementation partners as the design authority.
• Own the React-based storefront architecture, rendering strategy, caching, and performance.
• Define integration architecture with ERP, PIM, OMS, marketing and other systems.
• Contribute to development with hands-on coding, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
• Lead data migration and cutover planning for catalogs, accounts, orders, content, and SEO redirects.
• Establish engineering standards for code reviews, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and releases.
• Document architectural decisions and trade-offs.
