Job summary

NWS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Lead to architect, evolve, and operate our Adobe Commerce-based enterprise e-commerce platform and its ecosystem of integrations. This hands-on leadership role focuses on backend architecture, performance optimization, and reliable data syncing with ERP/CRM systems.

You will mentor developers, enforce modern engineering standards, and guide the team through Agile delivery while contributing code.

Qualifications

• Strong backend architecture and integration experience in Adobe Commerce/Magento 2.
• Proven track record in designing resilient integrations with ERP/CRM and external services.
• Experience with cloud hosting (Azure/AWS) and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend architecture, module development, customization, and maintenance on Magento 2.4+.
• Design modular Magento extensions following best practices (DI, plugins, service contracts).
• Oversee deployment lifecycles, environments, and build/deploy processes on Commerce Cloud.
• Configure and troubleshoot infrastructure (Fastly/Varnish, Redis, OpenSearch, RabbitMQ).
• Lead upgrades and security patches to minimize debt and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure performance, Core Web Vitals, indexing, and checkout throughput.
