Job summary

Excelligence Learning Corporation is seeking a Lead Developer/Technical Architect to guide a major replatform from SAP Commerce Cloud to a modern, composable architecture. This hands-on leadership role combines design authority with practical coding to own the storefront, APIs, CMS, and related systems.

You will collaborate with implementation partners, drive data migration, establish engineering standards, and ensure platform reliability, performance, and scalability from go-live onward.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, building, and shipping production web apps; 3+ years in Lead/Architect roles.
• Hands-on ecommerce experience with revenue-generating storefronts.
• Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, commercetools, Shopify Plus, or similar platforms.
• Strong B2B ecommerce experience: punchout, quoting, PO, pricing, tax exemptions, approvals.
• Strong React and TypeScript, server-rendered frameworks (Next.js/Remix).
• Strong headless/API-first architecture knowledge (REST/GraphQL, edge caching).
• Experience leading agile delivery with explicit accountability.
• Experience owning production health: uptime, performance, incident response.
• Experience migrating ecommerce platforms / replatforming initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical architecture across storefront, commerce APIs, CMS, search, PIM, ERP, OMS, payments, tax.
• Serve as the technical design authority, reviewing architecture and deliverables from partners.
• Own the React storefront architecture, rendering strategy, caching, scalability, and performance.
• Define integration architecture across ERP, PIM, OMS, marketing, APIs, events, and failure handling.
• Contribute hands-on coding, architecture, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
• Lead data migration and cutover planning, including catalogs and customer accounts.
• Establish engineering standards for code reviews, CI/CD, testing, observability, security.
• Document key architectural decisions and trade-offs.
