Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Echocardiographer to join the Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab. You will perform echocardiograms, stress echoes, TEE, and Doppler studies across multiple labs and bedside assessments.

Requires high school diploma and accredited echocardiography education; registry within 12 months; BLS and ACLS within 90 days. Competitive base pay with additional shift differentials and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) per IAC guidelines.
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS/RCS/RDCS) within 12 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS required within 90 days.
• Echocardiographer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D and Doppler echocardiograms, TEE, and pharmacological stress echoes.
• Evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for heart disease and blood flow issues.
• Complete technologist reports in the structured report application.
• Work across Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab, EP/Cath Lab, OR, ICU and bedside with patients.
