Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Senior Echocardiographer to perform and analyze advanced echocardiographic procedures, including TTE, TEE, and stress echo, in a collaborative non-invasive lab. This full-time daytime role requires leadership, mentorship of staff, and participation in quality improvement.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, supervising echocardiography services across OR, EP, Cath Lab, ICU, and bedside studies; requires 3+ years of experience,

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.
Associate Level Degree.
Minimum 3 years of echocardiographer experience.
Certification prerequisites: RDCS/RCCS/RCS/ARDMS and BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

Perform two-dimensional, Doppler, transesophageal and stress echocardiograms and complete the technologist report.
Provide leadership to support department with staffing, scheduling, accreditation, staff education, and other duties as defined by management; support cardiac lab operations.
