Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks an experienced Echo Sonographer II to perform a range of echocardiograms including TTE/TEE with Doppler and 3D imaging for inpatient and outpatient studies. The role includes on‑call duties and a schedule of full‑time days Fri–Mon 7:30am–6pm, with data transmission to PACS/DICOM and communication of significant findings to the reading physician.

Strong teamwork and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below
• Three years' experience as Cardiac/Echo Sonographer; HM Echo Sonographer with two years' experience may be considered
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association and must have one of the following certifications: RDCS, RDCS-AE, RVT, RCS, or RVS

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiac echo studies and transesophageal echo when needed.
• Transmits exam data to DICOM storage and communicates findings to physician.
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives; on-call required.
• Educates patients and supports stress, Holter, EKG as needed.
