Job summary

Amazing Explorers Academy seeks an Education Director to oversee Infant through School Age classrooms, including STEAM/Atelier, ensuring programs meet company standards. You will supervise teachers, train staff, and cover director duties when needed, while opening/closing duties are performed at least 50% of the time.

Qualifications

• Must meet all state requirements for the Director position.
• Background checks, fingerprinting, education and experience as required by state and accreditation agents.
• Bachelor3s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Curriculum or related field.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a licensed childcare school with at least one (1) year in a management or supervisory position.
• Must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in the English language.
• Must meet Company driving standards where applicable.
• Must be able to travel approximately 5-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Accountability in all aspects of the operation.
• Ensure school compliance with state-mandated teacher-child ratios; state and municipal regulations relating to operation of childcare schools; wage and hour laws; and company policies.
• Oversees and maintain all training hours required by the state.
• Manages human resources and maintains teacher files per regulatory and corporate guidelines.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and develops staff; sets performance standards and expectations; provides coaching.
• Manage day-to-day operations and supervisory responsibility of all school staff.
• Train new staff in blended learning and classroom environments.
• Supervise staff and monitor program quality metrics.
• Coach employees to improve performance and develop career plans.
