Job summary

Amazing Explorers Academy is seeking an Education Director to ensure our Infant through School Age classrooms meet company standards, including STEAM/Atelier programs. You will supervise teachers, help select and develop staff, and share director duties in their absence.

You may open/close the school up to 50% of the time and step into classrooms to maintain child-teacher ratios. You will lead operational responsibilities, ensure compliance with state regulations, manage HR and training, and

Qualifications

• Must meet all state requirements for the Director position.
• Background checks, fingerprinting, and education/experience as set by state and accrediting agent.
• At least two years of experience in a licensed childcare setting with at least one year in a management/supervisory role.
• Able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Willing to travel approximately 5–20% of the time.
• Ability to move, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise teachers across classrooms to ensure program standards.
• Ensure compliance with state ratios and wage/hour laws, policies, and regulations.
• Manage HR, recruit, hire, train and develop staff; provide coaching and performance standards.
• Open and close the school and share supervisory duties; cover classroom needs as required.
• Develop staff training, career plans and monthly staff meetings; coordinate with Area Manager/owner.
