TruCapital Partners in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Property & Casualty Binding Underwriter to evaluate, quote, and bind new and renewal business within delegated authority. The role focuses on disciplined risk selection, profitable portfolio management, and strong agency relationships across the E&S marketplace.

You will underwrite and bind submissions, analyze risk, manage a defined book of business, and collaborate with claims, actuarial, and product teams to support underwriting

Qualifications

• 5+ years of P&C underwriting experience.
• Experience working with wholesale brokers and MGAs.
• Familiarity with rating methodologies, coverage forms, and underwriting guidelines.
• Proficiency with underwriting systems, rating platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate, timely work.
• Professional designations (AU, CPCU, ARM) are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Underwrite and bind new and renewal submissions within assigned authority levels.
• Evaluate risk characteristics, loss history, exposure data, and coverage needs to determine pricing and terms.
• Manage a defined book of business to achieve growth, retention, and profitability targets.
• Maintain relationships with wholesale brokers and agency partners to drive submissions.
• Prepare quotes, indications, binders, and policy documentation with timely turnaround.
• Ensure compliance with carrier guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal audits.
• Collaborate with claims, actuarial, and product teams to support underwriting decisions.
• Monitor market trends and emerging risks within the E&S casualty segment.
• Participate in audits, file reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
