TRAK Group in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to provide technical leadership across E&I, controls, reliability, and capital project initiatives within a complex industrial manufacturing environment. The role serves as the site subject matter expert for E&I systems, driving equipment reliability and safe project execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
8–10 years of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering experience.
Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing environments.
Experience in a PSM-regulated facility.
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, motor controls, power systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Experience with PLC and DCS systems.
Proven experience leading capital projects from scope through commissioning and startup.
Strong reliability engineering, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis experience.
Knowledge of NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and PSM requirements.
Experience with MOC, PHA, and incident investigation processes.
Ability to lead contractors, vendors, technical teams, and cross‑functional projects.
Strong leadership, communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, and/or DeltaV controls platforms.

Responsibilities

Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and instrumentation failures.
Develop site-wide reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
Lead capital and expense projects involving electrical distribution, instrumentation, controls, and automation.
Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and performance validation.
Support PLC and DCS systems to improve process control and operational performance.
Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify and implement control system improvements.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and PSM requirements.
Lead or support MOC, PHA, and incident investigations.
Maintain and improve site E&I engineering standards, procedures, drawings, and technical documentation.
