Job summary

The Wirecutter is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own the design evolution of the Wirecutter Store. You will lead the visual and structural integrity of the shopping experience, crafting intuitive interfaces for the homepage, PDPs, and checkout flows across desktop and mobile.

You will apply e-commerce best practices, user psychology, and CRO to identify opportunities, partnering with business teams on the A/B testing roadmap and ensuring Shopify-based designs are both beautiful and

Qualifications

4+ years of relevant design experience.
Portfolio showing ability to design for e-commerce with IA, interaction design and visual hierarchy.
Experience designing for Shopify and collaborating with developers on custom layouts.
Experience designing templates for e-commerce emails (Klaviyo, Shopify Email).

Responsibilities

Own the design evolution of the Wirecutter Store, leading the visual and interaction design for homepage, PDPs, and checkout flows.
Act as a strategic partner to apply e-commerce best practices, CRO and user psychology.
Translate complex business requirements into high-fidelity designs for desktop and mobile; wireframe and prototype.
Audit site experience, identify growth opportunities, and propose improvements to architecture and flows.
Collaborate with business and technical teams on A/B testing and UI experiments; implement designs within Shopify.
Be the design advocate during technical implementation with partners.
