Job summary
Mustang Cat in Tomball, TX is seeking a Lead Dyno Technician to oversee factory engine testing, mentoring technicians, and ensuring safe, accurate testing of industrial natural gas and diesel engines at our Power Systems site.
You will lead the test cell operations, diagnose complex issues, and coordinate performance analysis with Cat ET and SIS. This is a hands-on, leadership role in a premier Caterpillar dealer, offering growth and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with industrial natural gas or diesel engines.
- Experience operating engine dynamometer equipment.
- Strong diagnostic abilities for engine and electrical systems.
- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily test cell operations for engine dyno testing.
- Mentor and develop Dyno Technicians and shop personnel.
- Coordinate test scheduling to maximize productivity.
- Ensure testing procedures meet quality and safety standards.
- Analyze engine performance data and document results.
- Support commissioning and quality inspections of rebuilt engines.
