Job summary

A rocket company in Long Beach, CA, is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Integrated Performance group. This role requires a strong background in dynamics, particularly with FEMAP and Nastran, managing dynamic loads for the Terran R project. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams, develop analytical models, and assist in hardware design maturation. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is essential. Additional responsibilities include ensuring hardware specifications are met and contributing to critical flight event planning.

Qualifications

• Experience driving dynamics issues to closure across various domains.
• Knowledge of FEMAP and Nastran for dynamics model development and analysis.
• Fluency in Python, MATLAB, or similar for engineering analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own dynamic loads for all hardware on Terran R.
• Assist in maturing hardware designs effectively.
• Build and document analytical models for load predictions.
• Inform architecture decisions for complex events.
• Develop random vibration specifications and ensure hardware qualification.
