MR. AIR NYC is a premium HVAC specialist serving NYC's high-value residential and commercial properties.

Based in Brooklyn, we seek a Lead Ductless / Heat Pump Installer to independently lead complex installations across New York City, guiding crews from arrival through commissioning and customer handoff. This senior role requires 5+ years of HVAC installation experience, ductless mini-split expertise, and EPA 608 certification.

Qualifications

5+ years HVAC installation experience
Significant ductless mini-split and heat pump experience
Demonstrated experience leading HVAC installations independently
EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of refrigerant piping, pressure testing, and evacuation
Ability to read plans, specs, and manufacturer instructions
Experience directing helpers or developing installers
Professional customer communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead installation crews from arrival through commissioning and customer handoff
Install and supervise ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, multi-zone, cassette, concealed-ducted, VRF, and related systems
Install and verify refrigerant piping, electrical wiring, and condensate management
Perform pressure testing, evacuation, micron testing, startup, and commissioning
Maintain high workmanship standards and complete required documentation
Train and mentor helpers and developing installers
Communicate professionally with customers and office staff
