Based in Brooklyn, we seek a Lead Ductless / Heat Pump Installer to independently lead complex installations across New York City, guiding crews from arrival through commissioning and customer handoff. This senior role requires 5+ years of HVAC installation experience, ductless mini-split expertise, and EPA 608 certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC installation experience
• Significant ductless mini-split and heat pump experience
• Demonstrated experience leading HVAC installations independently
• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of refrigerant piping, pressure testing, and evacuation
• Ability to read plans, specs, and manufacturer instructions
• Experience directing helpers or developing installers
• Professional customer communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead installation crews from arrival through commissioning and customer handoff
• Install and supervise ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, multi-zone, cassette, concealed-ducted, VRF, and related systems
• Install and verify refrigerant piping, electrical wiring, and condensate management
• Perform pressure testing, evacuation, micron testing, startup, and commissioning
• Maintain high workmanship standards and complete required documentation
• Train and mentor helpers and developing installers
• Communicate professionally with customers and office staff

Lead Ductless / Heat Pump Installer

Job type: Full-time

Work location: Based in Brooklyn, with field installations throughout New York City

Base pay: $40-$52 per hour, based on relevant experience, demonstrated competency, and leadership ability

MR. AIR NYC is a specialized HVAC company serving NYC's high-value residential and commercial properties -- brownstones, townhouses, apartments, condos, co-ops, and older buildings. We're a Mitsubishi Elite Diamond Contractor known for precision, professionalism, and premium client experiences.

We're hiring a Lead Ductless / Heat Pump Installer to independently lead complex installations across New York City. This is a senior field position for an installer who can lead a crew, solve difficult jobsite conditions, and help develop less-experienced installers.

What You'll Do

• Lead installation crews from arrival through commissioning and customer handoff
• Install and supervise ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, multi-zone, cassette, concealed-ducted, VRF, and related systems
