Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with signal processing or image processing (1+ year for another position)
• 10+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering (5+ years for another position)
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain US Security Clearance (final Secret Clearance post-start)
• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and develop next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems.
• Develop and verify multi-rate fixed-point digital signal processing architectures.
• Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces for digital payloads.

Senior DSP Systems Engineer (Digital Signal Processing)

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Senior DSP Systems Engineer (Digital Signal Processing) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in El Segundo, CA (100% Onsite).

Job Description

• Payrate: $112/hr W2 (Overall 14 year of experience required)
• Payrate: $93/hr W2 (Overall 9 year of experience required)
• Duration: 6-12 months contract (possible extension based on performance and budget).
• 1st shift: 8am to 4:30pm
• Seeking Senior DSP Systems Engineers to join the Space and Launch Engineering team in El Segundo, California, to design and develop state-of-the-art, space-based communication systems for commercial, civil, and national security programs.
• You will be part of a highly-motivated team that works with domestic and international customers on the latest satellite systems.
• Project assignments typically span the unit life cycle, from internal trades, concept studies and system definition, to satellite unit development and test.
• You will belong to a systems engineering team interacting with customers, suppliers, program management, integration and test engineers, and senior technologists.

Required Skills

• This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 6+ years of experience with signal processing or image processing. (1+ year exp for another position)
• 10+ years of experience with electronic systems engineering. (5+ year exp for another position)

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in or similar degree in signal processing or algorithm development focus
• Development of algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs
• Digital Signal Processing based classes, projects or work experience
• Simulink experience in work or school. Python, C++, or other languages acceptable
• Substantive involvement and/or leadership in group-oriented project work
• Verification planning and principles, while applying their theoretical knowledge in resolving real world problems
• Typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications (9 years of exp for another position)
