Job summary

Upstate Caring Partners in New York seeks a Senior Direct Support Professional (DSP) to mentor staff, provide high-quality supportive services, and participate in agency activities under supervision. The role includes ensuring a safe, healthy living environment for residents and leading shift operations in the Residence Manager's absence.

The position requires 1+ year of direct-support experience, AMAP certification, and a valid NYS driver's license with a good driving record.

Qualifications

• Associates in Human Services preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a direct-support role.
• Must have and maintain AMAP certification.
• This position requires responsible and reliable individuals with good judgement.
• This position is responsible for a significant amount of documentation related to the people we support and program operations.
• Travel and transport is required. Must have and maintain a valid NYS Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record obtained through LENS.

Responsibilities

• Participate in agency activities under the supervision of the Program Manager.
• Provides high quality supportive services to ensure that a safe, healthy and welcoming living environment is provided for residents.
• In the absence of the Residence Manager, is responsible for oversight of daily shift operations, coordination of the scheduling of staff, completion of all records and reports pertaining to the shift they are leading.
