Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Researcher to theorize and build the next generation of sensing systems. You will work on pioneering DSP applications across multiple modalities, contributing to advanced waveform design for remote sensing and electronic warfare.

Join the Sensor Technologies Group to lead algorithm development, prototype concepts as a potential PI, and translate research into whitepapers and conference talks.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with DSP focus.
• 5+ years of experience developing DSP algorithms and architectures.
• Strong MATLAB and/or Python programming experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, especially for complex DSP concepts.
• Experience with real-world data and understanding non-idealities in systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed.
• Holder of active Secret clearance and eligibility for TS/SCI.

Mansioni

• Theorize and develop novel DSP algorithms for various applications, including remote sensing and EW waveform design.
• Prototype concepts and potentially serve as PI and technical lead.
• Contribute to proposal efforts and technical planning for future capabilities.
