Job summary

True Anomaly, Inc. seeks a Principal Digital Signal Processing Engineer to lead architecture and implementation of advanced DSP for space-based RF payloads.

You will develop real-time processing for high-rate I/Q data and drive DSP across embedded, FPGA, and GPU platforms, collaborating with RF, FPGA, software, hardware, and systems teams. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in DSP/RF, strong C++/Python, MATLAB, and FPGA experience, with a track record of delivering production-quality software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in DSP, RF systems, radar, or related area.
• Experience with real-time DSP on CPUs/GPUs/FPGA is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define DSP architectures and technical roadmaps for RF payloads, including requirements, interfaces, implementation approaches, and verification strategies.
• Develop and implement real-time DSP algorithms for high-rate complex I/Q data.
• Design processing chains including digital downconversion, channelization, polyphase filter banks, decimation, resampling, filtering, and spectral analysis.
• Develop algorithms for signal detection, characterization, classification, modulation recognition, and parameter estimation.
• Develop and evaluate algorithms for phased-array processing and beamforming, direction finding, and adaptive nulling.
• Mentor engineers and establish reusable DSP architectures, development tools, and testing infrastructure.
