Job summary

Kavaliro is seeking an experienced Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer for a government client to develop advanced signal‑processing technologies supporting mission‑critical programs. This role involves research, algorithm development, RF analysis, simulation, and high‑performance software implementation.

You’ll have the opportunity to work independently as a principal investigator or collaborate with a small team of highly technical engineers and researchers, translating concepts

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance; a clearance is not required to apply or at the time of hire.
• 7+ years of professional experience in digital signal processing preferred.
• Strong background in digital signal processing, digital communications, detection and estimation theory, remote sensing, radar signal processing, adaptive antenna array processing, navigation and geolocation.
• Demonstrated programming ability in scientific or engineering applications; hands‑on experience with C/C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement advanced signal‑processing algorithms for RF applications.
• Analyze RF signals and data to identify patterns and insights.
• Perform reverse engineering, simulation, modeling, and algorithm evaluation.
• Develop and optimize signal‑processing algorithms using C/C++ and Python.
• Translate research concepts and algorithms into production‑ready software.
• Support the transition of algorithms into real‑time, high‑performance computing environments.
• Work independently on technical initiatives and collaborate with small, highly skilled engineering teams.
• Investigate complex signal‑processing challenges and develop innovative solutions for mission‑critical applications.
• Contribute to the design and development of technologies supporting defense and IC missions.
