Job summary

KGS LLC in Los Angeles region seeks a Senior DSP Engineer to advance the design and analysis of phased array satellite systems. You will lead DSP algorithm development, support FPGA implementations, and collaborate across RF, antenna, and systems teams to meet customer goals with data-backed decisions.

You will architect DSP processing chains, validate with MATLAB/Simulink, and contribute to test campaigns and technical proposals for space hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years hardware development across the full product life cycle.
• Experience with DSP algorithms and hardware test systems.
• Clear ability to translate requirements into robust DSP solutions.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to translate requirements into robust DSP solutions.
• Design and develop DSP algorithms for phased array systems (beamforming, steering).
• Develop DSP chains in MATLAB/Simulink with fixed-point models.
• Implement and optimize FFT/iFFT for OFDM and beamforming.
• Collaborate with RF/antenna/systems engineers on interfaces and budgets.
• Analyze performance metrics (EVM, BER, SINR) and optimize DSP.
• Develop calibration algorithms for phased arrays and impairments mitigation.
• Model RF impairments and perform trade studies on complexity and latency.
• Prepare technical reports and support test campaigns for space hardware.
