Job summary

BCubed Engineering, an Auria company, seeks a Senior DSP Engineer to develop and integrate Low Probability of Intercept/Low Probability of Detect waveforms for MUOS systems. This hybrid role is based in Warrenton, VA, with responsibilities spanning algorithm design, real-time DSP pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional DSP engineering experience.
• Experience with C/C++, GNU Radio, X-MIDAS, CUDA, Python in Unix/Linux environments[ES1.1].
• Demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes and containerized tech.
• DSP background with deep understanding of communications systems design and theory[ES2.1].
• Experience in wireless communications theory, modeling, link budget and sensitivity analysis[ES2.1].

BCubed Engineering, an Auria company, is looking to hire a Senior DSP Engineer to join the team. This is a hybrid role located in our Warrenton, VA office. This candidate will be responsible for developing on Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) and Low Probability of Detect (LPD) waveform to be used on the MUOS systems. This effort is design and integration of the waveform onto an SDR radio platform. Follow-on effort encompass over-the-air testing.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

• Designing and implementing efficient algorithms and code for digital signal processing applications using C, C++, Python, X-MIDAS, CUDA, and GNU Radio Developing and optimizing signal processing pipelines for real-time and offline processing
• Conducting thorough testing and validation of DSP algorithms and software components to ensure robust performance
• Analyzing and debugging complex signal processing issues to improve algorithm efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software developers, and system engineers to integrate DSP solutions into larger systems
• Providing technical expertise and guidance on DSP methodologies and best practices
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines
• Documenting design specifications, implementation details, and test procedures for DSP software components
• Contributing to continuous improvement of DSP software development processes
• Supporting customer integration and troubleshooting efforts
• Supporting design reviews with customer

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 15+ years' professional DSP engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience with C/C++, GNU Radio, X-MIDAS, CUDA, Python within Unix/Linux programming environments[ES1.1]
• Demonstrated experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized technologies
• Digital Signal Processing (DSP) background with strong understanding of communication systems design and theory

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $150,000 - $190,000
