Job summary

Lemurian Labs Inc. in the United States seeks a Senior DSL Compiler Engineer to lead the frontend design of a domain-specific language for ML models. You will implement the lexer, parser, AST, and passes, and drive type/shape inference and diagnostics in a memory-managed C++ environment.

You will collaborate on design, review code, and contribute to end-to-end software lifecycle while exploring future DSL directions for AI infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive DSL/compiler design and implementation experience.
• Frontend engineering: lexical analysis, parsing, AST, semantic checks, and passes.
• Strong type and shape inference expertise.
• Solid C++ background with modern standards.
• ARC ownership concepts and memory-management familiarity.
• Experience creating clear compiler diagnostics for users.
• Full software lifecycle experience from design to testing.
• Familiarity with GPUs or accelerators in ML workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement compiler frontend components: lexer, parser, AST, and passes.
• Build type inference and shape inference for the DSL.
• Create actionable error and warning diagnostics for users.
• Work with a proprietary ARC system for memory management in frontend.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and design integrity.
• Collaborate via pair programming sessions.
• Contribute to product specs, high/low-level design, implementation, and testing.
• Help shape future DSLs as the platform expands.
