Job summary
ModernaTX, Inc. in Norwood, MA, is seeking a Sr. Engineer II, Drug Product Automation, to lead automation architecture for Drug Product filling, packaging, and related digital systems.
You will guide design, startups, validation, and lifecycle activities, and drive standards across sites while mentoring automation engineers. The role requires deep PLC and SCADA experience (Rockwell/Siemens, AVEVA Wonderware), familiarity with ISA-88/95, cGMP, and a track record of delivering robust automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in automation, controls engineering, or industrial digital systems in pharma/biotech/advanced manufacturing.
- Deep technical expertise with Rockwell and/or Siemens PLC platforms and related automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical authority for Drug Product automation systems like Filling, Packaging, Visual Inspection, and manufacturing equipment.
- Define and evolve automation architecture and engineering standards for Drug Product equipment and digital systems.
- Establish automation standards for data models, alarm management, and system integration patterns.
