Job summary

Axiom is building a pioneering drug-discovery platform that uses agentic systems to predict human outcomes. We seek exceptional scientists who combine deep medicinal chemistry with computational prowess to drive discovery at the interface of biology, chemistry, and AI.

You will work with pharma partners and AI labs to generate datasets, deploy agentic workflows, and influence high-value drug programs from hit-to-lead through development.

Qualifications

• Experience in drug discovery programs with decision-making in hit-to-lead, lead-opt, or candidate nomination.
• Medicinal chemistry reasoning around structure–activity relationships and lead optimization.
• ADME/DMPK and PK/PD interpretation, property optimization, and exposure–response reasoning.
• Strong computational chemistry, engineering, biochemistry, and ML ability.
• Presentation and soft skills with the ability to own customer relationships with biotech and pharma.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship agentic tools and data systems that let agents predict human drug outcomes.
• Own data generation, QC/QA, computational analysis, workflows, and sponsor partnerships to translate results into decisions.
• Collaborate with drug hunters, AI researchers, and multidisciplinary teams to build datasets and agentic systems used in discovery workflows.
• Embed customer goals across chemistry, biology, ML, engineering, and lab teams and manage feedback into data generation and models.
• Expand insights from customer engagements and productionize learnings to reduce analysis cycle time for future projects.
• Perform independent analyses to improve data quality and develop scalable analytical frameworks.
• Enable pharma scientists to define future drug discovery using agents, data, and the platform.
