Job summary

Antares Therapeutics seeks a Sr. Scientist I/II to build and deploy LLM-driven agents for drug discovery. You will work with medicinal chemists, computational scientists, and ML specialists to accelerate design-make-test-analyze cycles and improve program decisions.

You will lead MCP server integrations, develop reusable AI tools, and ensure robust evaluation and deployment through MLOps practices. Boston-based, on-site/hybrid work.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational chemistry or biology, cheminformatics, computer science, machine learning, or related field.
• Senior Scientist I: PhD with 5+ years (or bachelor's with 13+ years) of relevant experience.
• Senior Scientist II: PhD with 8+ years (or bachelor's with 16+ years), with independent delivery cross-functional influence.
• Contributions to small-molecule drug discovery with impact on design decisions.
• Hands-on development and deployment of LLM-driven agents and multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Embed with discovery project teams as AI enablement partner to accelerate cycles.
• Build and maintain MCP servers and tool integrations connecting data to workflows.
• Develop and deploy LLM-driven agents for scientific workflows and analyses.
• Own evaluation, benchmarking, and MLOps practices to ensure trustworthy outputs.
• Create reusable skills and reference implementations for portfolio-wide use.
• Analyze data across functions and communicate findings clearly to teams and leadership.
• Lead AI enablement function on programs and evaluate platforms.
