Job summary

Shermco Industries in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior Drives Engineer with hands-on expertise in low and medium voltage drive systems and automation. The role focuses on start-up, commissioning, preventative maintenance, installation and repair of complex drive systems onsite at customer locations.

The ideal candidate will have a 2-year electrical technical degree (or higher), strong English communication, and experience with automation and customer-facing service.

Qualifications

• 2-year electrical technical degree or equivalent.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with drive systems and automation is a plus.
• Must be able to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead start-up, commissioning, maintenance and repair of complex AC LV/MV drive systems onsite.
• Collaborate with NETA technicians and communicate troubleshooting recommendations to customers.
• Travel up to 50% and perform overtime as needed.
• Maintain safety standards around high‑voltage equipment.
