Placements24 client, a globally respected upstream energy company, seeks a Senior Drilling Engineer for a fully remote international operations team. The role covers planning, execution, and optimization of drilling programs across diverse settings, leveraging expertise in well design, drilling fluid mechanics, and risk management to ensure safe, cost-effective well construction.

You will mentor junior engineers, supervise remote operations, collaborate with geologists and reservoir engineers,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of drilling experience, including international upstream operations.
• Experience in well planning, execution, and supervision (onshore/offshore).
• Knowledge of drilling fluid mechanics, cementing, well control, and formation evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive drilling programs including well design and mud programs.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for drilling operations.
• Oversee remote drilling operations and provide technical guidance to on-site teams.
• Manage drilling expenditures and optimize costs while maintaining safety and quality.
• Perform post-drilling analysis and implement lessons learned.
• Collaborate with subsurface teams to ensure well objectives are met.
• Stay current with drilling technology and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
