Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Applications Engineer in Drilling Services to serve as the technical authority for planning, designing, and improving drilling and well construction solutions. You will work with Service Delivery, Sales, and Product teams to deliver safe and compliant field operations, mentoring colleagues and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/tech/maths required.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Willingness to travel to rig sites and customer facilities.
Ability to be on call outside normal hours.
Experience working in a global matrix organization.

Responsibilities

Lead planning, design, and execution of drilling and well construction solutions across the full Job Cycle.
Develop fit-for-purpose well plans, BHAs, drilling programs, and risk mitigation strategies.
Provide real-time technical support during operations and support decision-making.
Mentor engineers and support knowledge sharing across the organization.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and Baker Hughes standards.
Contribute to tender input, customer reviews, and product recommendations.
