Rinker Design Associates (RDA) is seeking a Drainage Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our team. The role focuses on designing drainage systems for transportation projects and ensuring compliance with VDOT, state, local, and federal requirements.

The position supports projects in Manassas, Fredericksburg, Glen Allen, Virginia Beach, or Waynesboro and offers a strong benefits package. PE or EIT with PE within 1 year is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in drainage design.
• PE license or EIT with intent to obtain PE within 1 year.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as Ensoft, HY-8, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer.

Responsabilités

• Hydrologic and Hydraulic Design: design stormwater management systems and drainage structures for roadways, ensuring compliance with design requirements.
• Project Management-Discipline Specific: Hydraulics across transportation projects for VDOT/locality tasks.
• Environmental Compliance: navigate Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations.
• Erosion and Sediment Control: review, design, and inspect EC measures per regulations.
• Collaboration: coordinate with engineers, contractors, and VDOT personnel.
• Technical Reporting: prepare drainage calculations and reports for project submissions.
