Job Summary:

Position Overview:

• Lead the team to follow effective processes, policies, and continuous development of capability within the team
• Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, following efficient and secure procedures for Systems Software Development
• Participate in project management including sizing, design, development, testing, and implementation
• Lead other development team members to analyze best practices, technology platforms, and tools
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
• Coordinate troubleshooting, solution implementation, and validation to resolve software defects and issues
• Develop, test, install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications; collaborate with IT Architecture team
• Apply technical knowledge to solve technological challenges

The primary responsibility of the Senior Engineer – IT, is to lead application development and integration solutions with cross-functional teams, including technical analysis, design, documentation, and mentoring.

All duties are performed in accordance with departmental and client policies, practices, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 21 years of age
• Proof of work authorization in the US
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and other required licenses
• 3+ years in IT
• 4+ years in SDLC phases
• 4+ years using Java/Microsoft technologies like SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Entity Framework, Web API
• 3+ years in Object-Oriented Design and design patterns
• 2+ years in systems analysis techniques including UML, data modeling, BPR, CPI
• Experience in test-driven development, CRUD operations, data normalization, indexing
• Experience with version control tools (GIT, SVN, TFS)
• Experience with DevOps tools (JIRA, JENKINS)
• Knowledge of Secure Coding practices
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with flexibility for varied shifts
