Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager – Construction Management in Colorado with a PE (or 20+ years’ experience) to lead DOT projects and grow the Civil Department. You will develop client relationships, drive proposals, and oversee scopes, schedules, and costs while mentoring staff.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking and excellent communication to manage complex projects and ensure quality outcomes for clients. Travel is expected as part of project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Professional Engineering licensure preferred.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• 12+ years of experience with PE/DOT and construction management, or 20+ years without degree/PE.
• Ability to independently organize work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated experience delivering successful projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic project management leadership for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and participate in proposal development.
• Responsible for overall management of scopes, schedules, and costs.
• Lead a collaborative project team to meet project needs.
• Collaborate with Technical Manager(s) on mentoring and training.
• Lead meetings with project staff and clients.
• Develop, update and manage project execution plans.
• Coordinate communications and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Assess project risk and develop mitigation plans.
• Manage RFIs and action items.
• Work with Project Controls to track schedules and costs.
• Coordinate projects through internal and external processes.
• Ensure resources are available to support projects.
• Analyze problems and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Deliver results and manage priorities to align with business goals.
• Maintain customer focus and represent Ulteig professionally.
• Build and maintain client relationships.
