Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to act as the company’s representative with outside regulatory agencies, coordinating audits and inquiries while interfacing with management across groups to secure timely responses. This role emphasizes understanding and applying pipeline safety regulations and fostering strong regulatory relationships.

The candidate will support internal training, SOP development, and ongoing compliance initiatives, including potential industry

Qualifications

• Prior experience within the pipeline and energy industry.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR 191, 192, 194, 195 and 199 and related standards.
• Experience working with Federal and State regulatory agencies.
• Knowledge of SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Energy Transfer and Federal & State regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate preparation for regulatory compliance audits and inquiries.
• Interact with internal staff, customers and agency personnel to meet regulatory requirements.
• Summarize regulations and provide internal guidance based on current rules.
• Perform internal pipeline safety compliance reviews.
• Represent Energy Transfer within industry organizations when needed.
• Interface with ET Management regarding regulatory activities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state pipeline safety regulations.
• Interpret regulations and train company personnel for compliance.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and enterprise compliance programs.
