Job summary

Nevada Donor Network, Inc. is seeking a Family Services Coordinator to support the mission by screening and evaluating potential donors, and by working with families to provide information about donation opportunities and obtaining authorization per NDN standards.

The role includes conducting a comprehensive medical and social history, providing bereavement support to families and hospital staff, and coordinating with hospitals to optimize donation opportunities throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Responds to donor referral notifications via telephone within 20 minutes.
• Responds on-site to all potential organ donors within 90 minutes unless prior approval is given by the Administrator on call to respond beyond 90 minutes.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate potential donors.
• Work with families to provide information about donation opportunities and obtain authorization per NDN standards.
• Conduct comprehensive medical and social history reviews.
• Provide bereavement support to families and hospital staff throughout the donation process.
• Collaborate with hospitals and NDN staff to determine the best time to offer donation opportunities.
• Assist with coordination of Donor Remembrance Ceremony.
• Participate in donor education programs and data collection as needed.
