Job summary

GAF is seeking an experienced Domino/Lotus Notes Administrator to join our remote US team. You will manage multi-server Domino environments, ensure high availability, security, and performance, and guide data migration as we modernize legacy apps to cloud platforms like Salesforce and HCL Nomad.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of enterprise Domino experience, a Bachelor's degree in CS or IT, and strong scripting (PowerShell or Python) plus development skills (LotusScript, Java, JavaScript).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional industry experience. required
• 7 years of hands- on experience administering, engineering, and supporting HCL Domino / Lotus Notes environments at an enterprise level.
• HCL Domino / Lotus Notes Administrator or Developer Certification (preferred)
• Experience with Domino modernization solutions and APIs (e.g., Domino REST API, HCL Nomad, HCL Volt MX) (preferred)
• Proven track record of legacy database audits and cloud migrations (e.g., Salesforce) (preferred)
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation and data extraction (preferred)
• Core technical expertise: Domino Server Administration (v9–v14), NRPC/SMTP, clustering, replication (preferred)
• Development: LotusScript, @Formula, Java, JavaScript within Domino environments (preferred)
• Security & Infrastructure: LDAP integration, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, Windows Server, Linux/RHEL (preferred)
• Problem solving: root-cause analysis across distributed databases (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Administration: Manage, configure, and optimize multi-server HCL Domino environments for high availability and performance.
• Tier-3 Escalation: Primary escalation point for complex Domino mail routing, replication, database repair, and performance issues.
• Application Engineering & Support: Maintain, debug and enhance Domino applications and databases (.nsf) using LotusScript, Formula Language, Java, and JavaScript.
• Integration Engineering: Support interfaces between Domino and external systems via REST APIs, web services, DECS/HEI, and ODBC.
• Security & Compliance: Administer Domino Directory, ACLs, ID files, SSL certificates, encryption, and patch management.
• Migration & Modernization: Collaborate on auditing legacy databases and migrating data to cloud platforms like Salesforce.
