Job summary

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide ground avionics engineering support for the AFLCMC C3I&N Directorate at Eglin AFB. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Florida area.

The candidate will support Tactical Data Links, operate MIDS terminals, and train personnel in data link operations and COMSEC procedures. A DoD background and TS clearance are required, with extensive system engineering experience.

Qualifications

12+ years experience in systems engineering including at least 5 years in a DoD environment.
Bachelor's degree in a related field; additional years may substitute for degree requirements.
Must have in-depth knowledge of LINK-16, SADL and other Tactical Data Link systems.
Clear communication with management, technical staff, and end users; US citizen with TS clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering and Tactical Data Link (LINK 16, SADL) support.
Setup and operate equipment to support fielding and training of Tactical Data Links.
Operate Tactical Radios including all MIDS Family of Terminals.
Operate Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Digital Volt Meters and related test equipment.
Conduct training for military and civilian members on data link operations and troubleshooting on ground systems.
